# How It Works

Run firefighter jobs and manage active fires.

### Start a shift

1. Go to the ped at `Config.PedCoords`.
2. Interact with the ped using **qb-target**.
3. Open the Station Control UI.
4. Select **Duty** and go on duty.

Going on duty starts the dispatch timer.

### Respond to fires

The script selects a configured fire group at random. Active firefighters receive a notification and a map blip.

Extinguish each fire point to earn configured XP and rewards. The script stores XP for the leaderboard.

When all points are out, the map blip disappears. Another fire can spawn after the configured interval.

### Use Station Control

| Tab             | Description                                              |
| --------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Duty** | Toggle duty and view XP, level, and fires extinguished. |
| **Vehicles** | Dispatch configured fire vehicles. |
| **Outfit** | Apply the firefighter uniform or reset the current skin. |
| **Shop** | Buy supplies using cash. |
| **Leaderboard** | View the top 10 firefighters by XP. |

### Clear fires as an admin

```
/clearfires
```

This command requires the default QBCore `admin` permission. It removes every active fire and notifies firefighters.
