# Bidding

* **Whole numbers only.** `2.50` is rejected, both in the UI and on the server.
* **Taken straight away.** A bid is held as soon as it's placed. When someone outbids you, you get it back instantly and receive a phone email. The winner has already paid.
* **Buy now** is disabled the moment the first bid is placed.
* **Live stats.** Each lot shows the current price, number of bids and number of bidders. Everyone with the UI open sees these update live.
* **Late bids add time.** A bid in the last 2 minutes pushes the end back so there are 2 minutes left. The amount is set in `Config.Bidding.ExtendOnLateBid`, in minutes.
* **Offline players.** Refunds, payouts and emails are saved and delivered the next time they load in.

### Lot window

Clicking a lot opens it in a large centred window. The picture is on the left, and the details and bidding are on the right. Click the picture to see it full size. Click anywhere, or press Esc, to close the window.
